Named “Florida’s Most Relaxing Place” and “Florida’s Best Kept Secret” Navarre Beach has become one of the fastest growing communities in Florida. While protecting and enhancing the natural environment of the area, many steps have been taken to develop luxury accommodations, water activities, boutique shopping and scenic trails.
Navarre Beach has four miles of beach frontage on the Gulf of Mexico, as well as several miles of beaches within the Navarre Beach Marine Park and the Gulf Islands National Seashore. At 1,545 feet, The Navarre Beach Fishing Pier is currently the longest fishing pier on the Gulf of Mexico and in the state of Florida.
Navarre is an increasing destination for ecotourism due to its location at the center of the Gulf of Mexico, multiple wildlife sanctuaries, conservation centers, and rehabilitation centers. This includes the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge, Navarre Beach Marine Science Station, Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center, Sandspur Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Navarre Beach Marine Life Sanctuary.
Popular restaurants in Navarre Beach include Beach House Bar & Grill, Windjammers on the Pier, Broussard’s and Sailor’s Grill. Beach shops include The Boardwalk Shop, Sage’s Surf Shack and Navarre SUP.
Navarre Beach is about 25 miles east of Pensacola and about 15 miles west of Fort Walton Beach. Just north of Navarre Beach is the City of Navarre, which is home to many residential communities, local shops and Gulf Breeze Zoo.
